Mexico Coverage
When driving in Mexico, we advise that you have vehicle insurance written by a Mexican Insurance Company. Vista Group can facilitate full coverage or liability-only Mexico tourist automobile insurance. Daily, six month, and annual policies are available for autos, trucks, RV's, towed vehicles, motorhomes, boats and trailers. Our RV Insurance Carriers offer physical damage coverage while in Mexico. The minimum amount of insurance required under the Mexican law is vehicle liability. However, we do recommend that you have full coverage insurance. All of our policies include legal assistance.

Mexico Insurance Requirements
EACH SELF PROPELLED MOTORIZED ROAD VEHICLE (POWER UNIT) MUST BE LISTED ON ITS OWN SEPARATE POLICY. Boats and trailers are only insured if they are expressly here and on the face of this policy for the corresponding value. Eligible trailers include boat trailers, tent trailers, utility trailers, or house trailers. Eligible boats, jet skis, seadoos, and wave-runners. Coverage is afforded to trailers and boats only while coupled and attached to the towing unit. Anything being towed MUST be listed on the policy. Towed units not listed on the policy will void coverage for the entire policy.

Choosing An RV Policy
Choosing an RV policy that offers a Mexican endorsement often represents an extensive savings in comparison to purchasing a “stand alone” Mexican policy. RV Specialty insurance may include the following coverage’s that are not available from standard automobile insurers:
• Personal effects
• Towing and roadside assistance
• Vacation liability
• Full timers liability
• Emergency expense
• Replacement cost of personal effects
• Total loss replacement
• Awning replacement coverage
• Extended utility trailer coverage
• Dimishing deductibles
• Mexico Coverage
• Companion auto (tow car)
• Golf car/moprf or water craft vehicle
Full Coverage
Full coverage includes liability, medical, collision, other than collision, fire, glass breakage, total theft coverage and legal representation. These lines of coverage are subject to the exclusive policy deductible that the client chooses. Vista Group highly recommends the fixed deductibles. Fixed deductibles are usually $500 for collision and $1000 for other than collision.
Vechicle Liability
Vehicle liability only coverage includes property liability, bodily injury liability, medical expenses and legal representation.
Vechicle Liability Limits
Vista Group utilizes several underwriters who only offer combined single limit liability. There are many companies that offer outrageously low split limit liability coverage. The combined single limit policy offers a more protective coverage than the split limit policy. The split limit policy is usually a less expensive choice. Our objective is to offer a policy that will suit each individual need and budget. Some of the popular liability choices we sell are:
Combined single limit policy $50,000
Combined single limit policy $100,000
Combined single limit policy $300,000
Split Limit and Combined Single Limit
Liability insurance coverage normally is available in Mexico in two different forms: (1) single limit coverage, and (2) split limit coverage. Split limit coverage means that a certain maximum amount of coverage is available for each person injured in a collision with a maximum amount available no matter how many people are injured in the collision. Single limit coverage means that a certain amount of insurance coverage is available per collision with no special amount allocated per person.
Example: A policy that provides a person who is legally responsible for the collision with $300,000 of coverage could be written by the insurance company as single limit coverage of $300,000 or as split limit coverage of $100,000 per person with a maximum of $300,000 for each collision ($100/300,000). If two people are injured in a collision, then the $300,000 in the single limit policy could theoretically be allocated in any amount so long as the total does not exceed $300,000. If the same two people are injured but the policy has the split limits listed above, then each person is limited to a $100,000 maximum recovery with the total payable as a result of the collision being $200,000.
Deductibles
We offer, and recommend fixed $500 deductibles on collision and $1000 deductibles on comprehensive. In addition, we offer broadening choices such as vandalism, partial theft, and US labor and repair rates for an additional fee if you require better coverage.
